About Captain Woody’s Maui Private Charter

Capt. Woody grew up in the Pacific Northwest along the Oregon/Washington Coast. His parents inspired him to enter the hospitality business after watching and Helping them run their motel business, the Whale’s Tale motel, his whole life. Woody was obsessed with the ocean and knew to respect it as toddler, especially after the 1st time he went crabbing with his father. He’s been hooked on outdoor adventures ever since! Some of his adventures growing up include: whitewater rafting guide on the Snake River, fishing guide in Alaska, hunting and trapping guide in Oregon, moving to the Caribbean to chase his passion of becoming an expert sailor and a charter captain, logging thousands of dives as a Scuba instructor/Divemaster, sternwheeler captain along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers, traveling to all parts of the world, and finally finding a permanent home in Maui to start Captain Woody’s in 1993. Captain Woody’s is West Maui’s original 6 passenger private snorkel, whale watch, and fishing charter.
